There are barriers to economic growth and prosperity our members and neighbors face every day, and we can help them overcome. That's the guiding principle behind the UVA Community Credit Union Foundation. We partner with civic organizations and leaders to invest our time, talent and resources in local non-profits dedicated to three key development issues: Children's Health, Food Stability, and Affordable Housing.
Our purpose is to fuel and amplify the Credit Union’s mission of “working together to strengthen the financial wellness of our members and local communities” with a vision to become part of the strategic architecture of our community’s financial wellness efforts, and a mission to improve the quality of life for our members, local families, and communities.

Hunger is a local issue. When people struggle with food insecurity, communities suffer. We partner with organizations that work to resolve the challenges faced by individuals and families, ensuring that no one goes hungry.
Shelter is a basic need and a human right. Without adequate, stable living conditions, people suffer and struggle to overcome additional development issues. We proudly support organizations that create housing opportunities (rent/build/renovate) and advocate for affordable housing policies and programs.
