Switch Your Personal Account to UVA Community Credit Union

Membership Switch Kit

UVA Community Credit Union has made moving your accounts fast and convenient with our Switch Kit. All the letters and forms you will need to make this transition as easy as possible are included. All you will need to do is print and mail the letters to the appropriate companies and/or individuals.

Switching your accounts takes three easy steps:

If you're already a member, you only need to complete steps two and three!

1. Open your account. It's easy to open your membership account or a checking account by mail or at any of our branch locations. Once your account is established, you're all set to switch. Membership is open to anyone who meets our membership eligibility.
2. Complete and mail the necessary switch kit forms.
   Automatic Payment Change Authorization Form — This form should be sent to each company who has an automatic payment set up for you, for example mortgage payments, utilities, or car payments.
   Direct Deposit Form — This form sets up your direct deposit into your new UVA Community Credit Union account. Some employers require their company form, check with your Human Resources department.
3. Close your account at your previous financial institution.
   Account Closure Authorization Form — This form communicates to your previous financial institution that they need to close your account(s). You should fill out this form for each account you wish to move. Remember to verify that all checks, card transactions, and scheduled bill payments have cleared your old account.

Apply for a loan or credit card account

Members can easily apply for a loan or credit card with the Credit Union.  You can apply online, call us at 434-964-2001 or stop by any branch.  If you're not a member, you only need to meet the membership requirements stated above to open a membership account.  You can apply for a loan or credit card before establishing membership.
