Apple Pay™ -  An Easy Way to Pay Using Your Credit Union Debit & Visa^® Cards

Apple Pay is the easy, secure way to make purchases in-store without swiping your card and inside apps on your phone without entering your payment or contact information.

Your Financial Information & Privacy are Protected

We take the security of your financial and personal information very seriously. When you use your Credit Union debit and Visa cards through Apple Pay your card numbers and personal information is never displayed and it is not stored on your device or any server.

If your device is ever stolen or lost you have the option of using your “Find My Phone” through the iCloud app to suspend or permanently remove the ability to pay from your device. You also have the option to call and suspend your cards.

Manage your Account with Ease

Your Apple Pay Passbook stores your recent purchases for you to review at your own convenience. You can add and delete cards or change your default card anytime through Passbook.

How to Use Apple Pay in Participating Stores:

1. Look for the Pay Wave^® or Apple Pay symbol at checkout and hold your phone near the contactless reader.

 

2. Place your finger on the Touch ID^™. Or, you may need to enter a passcode and sign a receipt.

 

3. Keep your phone by the reader until it vibrates and beeps, indicating your payment was accepted.

What You Need to Get Started with Apple Pay

If you aren’t already using Apple Pay, you’ll need an Apple Pay supported device with Touch ID™ or passcode and an iCloud® account. Apple Pay Supported Devices include:

iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and later models

iPad Air™ 2 or iPad Mini 3 and later models

Apple Watch paired with an iPhone 5 and later models

How to Add your Credit Union Debit and Visa Credit Cards to Your Apple Pay Account

iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and later models: Open the Passbook app, swipe down, and tap the plus sign. If your UVA Community Credit Union debit or Visa card is already registered with iTunes®, just key in your security code (the three-digit CVV number on the back). Otherwise, enter your information manually.

iPad Air 2 or iPad mini and later models: Go to Settings, select Passbook then choose Apple Pay. If your Credit Union debit or Visa card is already loaded on iTunes® just key in your security code (the three-digit CVV number on the back). Otherwise, enter your information manually.

Apple Watch: Your Apple Watch must be paired with your iPhone in order to use Apple Pay.

To add a Credit Union card that's already on your iPhone open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab. Scroll down and tap Wallet & Apple Pay. Tap Add next to the card that you want to add. If asked, key in security code (the three-digit CVV number on the back)
