UVA Community Credit Union Visa^® debit and credit cards now come with built-in chip (EMV) technology. These cards are not only more secure, they are also easier to use.

Just swipe your card as usual and if the terminal is chip-enabled, follow the prompts provided. For use at ATMs, simply insert your card and follow the on-screen instructions. Remember to take your card when prompted.

Added layer of security

When you use your chip card at a chip-enabled terminal, the embedded chip generates a one-time use code. This code is virtually impossible to counterfeit and helps reduce in-store fraud.

No matter how you use your card, your purchases are also covered by zero liability protection.

Accepted everywhere

More merchants are accepting chip transactions every day. Whether you check out using chip technology or swipe your card, you can pay wherever Visa cards are accepted.
