Password Change Requirements

Upcoming Password Change Required

Effective May 7, 2019, all members who are enrolled in online banking will be prompted to create a new password that meets our enhanced security requirements.

In a proactive approach to follow password security best practices, your new password will need to meet the following requirements:

  • 8 character minimum
  • 1 uppercase
  • 1 lowercase
  • 1 special character (~!@#$%^*()_+-={}|[]:";'<>?,./\)
  • 1 number

Additional information:

  1. You will be prompted to change your password based on the requirements listed above. If you change your password before May 7, or if your password already meets these requirements, you will still be prompted and required to change your password beginning May 7.
  2. The new password you set on May 7 (or after) will be valid for one year. Each new password moving forward will expire after one year.
  3. Your Touch ID and Facial Recognition setting on the UVA Community Credit Union app will need to be updated using your newly created, enhanced password.
  4. Any saved passwords and browser registrations will be deleted.
