Despite a renovation a few years before they moved in, Charlottesville homeowners still had rooms that were uncomfortably hot and uncomfortably cold. And their daughter’s allergies were a growing concern.

How they started

They scheduled a home energy check-up from LEAP to determine their home improvement opportunities.

The homeowners financed the project with a PowerSaver loan which includes significant rate discounts.

  • Leaky, poorly configured ductwork
  • Excess humidity in the crawlspace
  • Insulated attic
  • Installed a heavy duty vapor barrier in crawlspace
  • Insulated crawlspace
  • Reconfigured ductwork to improve airflow
  • Improve indoor air quality

The upgrades brought comfort to the home for all seasons and they welcomed the savings on the heating bill. And their daughter's runny nose and itchy eyes are better. And everyone from start to finish was extremely helpful in getting the job done!
