Telephone Phishing - August 16, 2012

We have been notified that members are receiving fraudulent calls on their home and cell phones stating that their credit or debit card has been cancelled. The recording asks the member to press a number to continue. These calls are NOT from UVA Community Credit Union. They are an attempt to gain information such as your card number, PIN or other personal information.

UVA Community Credit Union will never contact you by email, cell phone, text message, or telephone asking for your personal information.

If you responded to this fraudulent call, you should cancel your card immediately by contacting the credit union at 434-964-2001 or calling 866-595-6757 after business hours.
