Transfer Funds

Online Banking enables you to transfer funds between accounts quickly and easily. Access all linked accounts for single or recurring transfers.

For already linked accounts:

  1. After logging into Online Banking, select "Transactions" on the left navigation bar. then "Funds Transfer."
  2. Select the accounts you wish to transfer funds “from” and “to” using the drop-down menus.
  3. Enter the dollar amount to be transferred and select the date you would like the transfer to occur. For a one-time transfer, click “Submit Transfer.”
    1. For recurring transfer, check the box next to “Make this a recurring transaction”, enter how often the transaction should repeat and when it should stop, and then click “Save” before clicking “Submit Transfer.”

Adding an external account:

  1. To send money from a UVA Community Credit Union account to one at an outside institution, you will first need to add that external account. Simply click Add External Account from the menu to begin.
    1. Once it has been added, you can manage your transfers from the Activity Center.
  2. Enter the account number, account type, and routing number of the account you wish to add. Then click the “Continue” button.
  3. Two “micro” deposits (deposits which should be less than $1 each) will be generated and sent to your external account within 5 business days. Once they are deposited you will be able to verify your account.
  4. Once you receive these “mirco” deposits, sign back into your online account and select “Verify External Account” from the menu.
  5. Choose the account you want to verify and enter the “micro” deposit amounts and click submit.
    1. The time it takes for an external account to be verified depends on the bank it is sent to. If the external account is not verified within 14 days, it will be cancelled.
