A Message from Alison DeTuncq, Credit Union President and CEO

At UVA Community Credit Union, we understand how deeply our members and our communities have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. I would like to assure you that our staff is deeply committed to working with you through the crisis and doing everything we can to help.

Thanks to your support and the dedication of our entire team, the Credit Union is as strong as ever and well-positioned to support our members through these challenging times. In addition, you have the added security of knowing that your Credit Union accounts are fully insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund up to $250,000.

Providing Financial Assistance for Individual Members and Businesses

We have launched a financial assistance program for individual members that includes an emergency loan program, skip-a-payment plans for existing loans and credit cards, and debt consolidation programs. Our goal is to give you the breathing space you need to focus on your friends and family. For more information, view our financial assistance resource page.

We are also providing financial assistance for business members. The CARES Act, passed by Congress on March 27, has a number of provisions administered through the Small Business Administration (SBA) designed to help companies weather the crisis. They include emergency grants, debt relief on eligible SBA loans, and loans to help retain employees. For more information, view our SBA Assistance Loans Page.

Banking During the Crisis

While face-to-face relationships have always distinguished our credit union, during this crisis, our paramount concern is the safety of our members and our associates. As a result, we reluctantly restricted access to our branches with the exception of drive-thru, night drop, and ATM services. Learn More.

To help you minimize your trips to the ATM, we have temporarily increased our daily withdrawal limit to $500 at our machines. And since every dollar counts, we are temporarily waiving our ATM transaction fees at all non-UVA Community Credit Union ATMs. Other financial institutions' surcharge fees may still apply.

Online banking and bill payment will also save you unnecessary exposure. If you are not using them already, this is the perfect time to learn. You can access your accounts from your computer and, by downloading our Android and Apple apps on your mobile device, you can even deposit checks.
