Quick Bill Pay Features
Add a Payee
A payee is any person or company that you pay, including your utility company, your credit card company or even your baby sitter- anyone to whom you would normally send a check. With a variety of payees that you may need to keep track of, organizing them in Bill Pay can make it much easier.
- Select Options on the Quick Bill Pay screen and a drop down menu will appear.
- Select Add a Payee.
- You will be directed to a new window from which you need to enter the payee name, address, phone and account number.
- Click Save when finished.
You may also Add a Payee within the Classic Bill Pay Site; just launch it from the Options menu on the Bill Pay Overview screen. In Classic Bill Pay you may select from a list of popular billers in your area, or type in a biller name, address, phone number and other information. You may also set up auto pay or reminders once a biller is added to Bill Pay.
Edit a Payee
If you need to modify the information of a Payee, you can quickly do so within Online Banking.
- Select the Pencil icon on the Payee card.
- You will be directed to a new window from which you need to edit the payee address, phone and account number.
- Click Save when finished.
You may also Edit a Payee within the Classic Bill Pay Site; just launch it from the Options menu on the Bill Pay Overview screen.
View a Payee
Quick Bill Pay allows you to view information on any Payee. Review payment information, schedule a payment, or see pending and processed payments.
- Click the name of the Payee you would like to view.
- A screen will appear with information on scheduled payments, as well as an option to schedule a payment.
- Click Send Payment when finished or select Back to return to the previous screen.
Note: When you select a Payee, the right sidebar will list Pending and Processed payments for that Payee.
Making a Payment
Completing a payment is quick and easy.
- Select the payee to whom you would like to make a payment.
- Next, select the account you would like to pay from.
- Enter the amount you would like to pay in the space provided and select save.
- Select the Delivery Method. Please note expedited payment options will cost an additional fee and cannot be edited or cancelled once they are submitted.
- Enter the payment date on the calendar. Reminder: payment dates are on based on business days.
- When finished, click Send Payment.
Expedite a Payment
You can easily complete an expedited payment at any time within Bill Pay.
- Follow the standard payment instructions.
- When choosing a delivery method, select Expedited Payment. Please note there is an additional fee and payments cannot be edited or cancelled once they are submitted.
- When finished, click Send Payment.
Cancel a Payment
- To cancel a Pending payment, select the payment from the list in the right column.
- A new window that shows the details of the pending payment.
- Click the Cancel Payment button to remove the payment.
- Please note that you cannot cancel an Expedited Payment once it has been submitted.
You may also Create, Modify or Cancel a Payment within Classic Bill Pay; just select Launch Classic Bill Pay from the Options menu on the Bill Pay Overview screen.
You can view pending payments by selecting the Pending button on the right hand column.
View Payment History
You can organize how you view your Bill Pay screen in several different ways:
- In Grid format, payees that have an e-bill will be sorted by due date. Bills that are scheduled or not due will be green, bills coming due soon will be yellow, and bills that are due or past due will be red.
- By switching to List format, you will be able to sort your Payees by Name, Last Payment, Scheduled Payment or Status. Once sorted, switching back to Grid view will keep your list in that order.
Classic Bill Pay Features
Members may also use Classic Bill Pay at any time by selecting Launch Classic Bill Pay from the Options menu. Additional features not available in Quick Bill Pay are available.
Within Classic Bill Pay you can do everything available within Quick Bill Pay, plus some additional features, such as scheduling recurring payments and managing alerts.
- Add a Payee – select Add biller from the top of the Bill Pay screen.
- Edit a Payee – select the arrow next to the Payee name and select Modify.
- View a Payee – to view a Payee you may select the name from the list, or use the Find a Biller feature to quickly find the biller.
- Delete a Payee – to delete a Payee, select the arrow next to the Payee name and select Delete.
Hide a Payee
Using Classic Bill Pay you may hide payees that are infrequently used. Payees that are hidden within Classic will still be seen with Quick Bill Pay.
- Select the arrow by the Payee name you wish to hide.
- Click the Hide button.
Please note – if you delete a Payee in Classic Bill Pay, you can still view all payment history for that deleted Payee through the Report Feature. Using the Report will also allow you to see old E-bills.
Manage E-bills
E-bills are a fast and convenient way to receive your bills each month. No need to shuffle through payee information or access each individual payee’s website to pay your bills – you can get it all right here and never miss a payment!
- You can review E-bills by last paid, due date or scheduled payment date.
- If a payment is scheduled or has processed the date will appear here.
- Selecting View bill here! allows you to set up E-bills for that Payee. If an E-bill is already set up, clicking Due in…will take you to the current E-bill for review.
Schedule a Payment
You can quickly schedule one or more payments from the Classic Bill Pay home screen.
- Find the bill you wish to schedule.
- Enter the amount you wish pay.
- Select the Send On date from the calendar, or type it into the provided field.
- Continue this process if you have multiple bills to pay.
- Once all payment information is entered, select Confirm all payments.
Automatic Payments
Use this feature to complete a schedule automatic payments to a payee – it’s even easier than writing a check!
- Select the name of the Payee you want to schedule payments for and select Set Up Auto Pay.
- If an E-bill is available you may select to set up automatic payments in response to this bill, or you may select to make payments at regular intervals.
- Choose the payment account and enter the amount, frequency, start date, and end date for the automatic payments.
- Once all of the information is completed, click Save Auto Pay Options.
- A confirmation window will appear, click Close.
Expedited Payments
You can expedite a payment at any time within Classic Bill Pay.
- To expedite a payment, select Pay it faster? from the Payee box or Need to pay it faster? from the Payee drop down menu.
- The Expedited Payment box will open.
- Enter the amount to pay, select the Pay from account, select the type of expedited payment, and review accept the Expedited Payments Terms and Conditions.
- When finished, click Continue.
View Scheduled Payments
- Select Send On from the Bill Pay Activity Window to sort bills by scheduled payment date.
- All scheduled payments will show at the top of the Bill Pay Activity list.
Modify a Scheduled Payment
- To modify a payment, select the Scheduled Payment you wish to modify from the Bill Pay Activity window.
- Select Modify Payment from the menu.
Cancel a Scheduled Payment
- To cancel a scheduled payment, select the Scheduled Payment you wish to cancel from the Bill Pay Activity window.
- Select Cancel Payment from the menu.
Payment History
- You can view your payment history time date or by a specific biller using the Bill Pay Activity window.
- Use Find a biller to search for specific Payees, or select a date to see bills paid in the past 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 6 months or 12 months.
How to set up a Payment Reminder
You can quickly and easily set up Bill Pay to remind you that a payment is due.
- Select the Account and choose Add Reminder from the drop down menu.
- Select how often you would like to receive the reminder using the drop down menu.
- Select the next due date for the bill using the Calendar.
- You may also enter an optional Estimated Amount Due.
- You may also set up an E-bill to receive reminders when the bill is available and when it is due.
Manage Alerts
You can quickly and easily manage Bill Pay alerts within Classic Bill Pay.
- Select the Alert Preferences from the Helpful Resources menu.
- A new window will appear.
- From this window you can choose which alerts and notices you would like to receive, including Security, Payment, E-bill and Account alerts.
Create and Modify Categories
With Classic Bill Pay you can create and modify categories for you bills to track spending and budget for specific items, like auto, grocery, or utilities.
- Select the View/Modify Categories from the Helpful Resources menu.
- A new window will appear.
- From this window you can create or modify bill categories, such as Auto or Utilities.
Reports
Classic Bill Pay allows you to review and save reports on Payees, timeframes, or spending categories.
- Select the Reports from the Helpful Resources menu.
- A new Report window will appear.
- You can view, create, modify or download reports on a variety of categories, such as timeframe, Payee, Payment Status or E-bill Status.
- Please note that you can report on deleted payees and review their previous E-bills.
