UVA Community Credit Union Welcomes Two New Senior Vice Presidents

UVA Community Credit Union is pleased to announce the hiring of Tim Alther as Senior Vice President, Retail & Deposits and Michelle Hastings Simon as Senior Vice President, Marketing. 

Alther has worked in financial services for over two decades and brings a wealth of branch leadership knowledge. During his career he has made a name for himself as an innovative and results driven leader with a demonstrated track record of success in sales, service, and broad management experience across multiple organizational disciplines. He is also recognized for decision making, talent acquisition and development, communication, and sales strategy.

Similarly, Simon boasts over 17 years of experience in the financial service industry and has demonstrated a strong ability to execute successful marketing strategies and collaborate effectively with other lines of business. As an energetic and focused individual, Simon will be a key player in developing the Credit Union’s marketing strategy, with attention to digital channels.

In addition to their dedicated careers in the financial industry, Alther and Simon exemplify the credit union spirit through actively serving the community. Alther is a founding member of the Charlottesville Babe Ruth League that offers recreational and competitive baseball opportunities for children in the community. Simon is a founding partner of the WOW Collaborative (Women On their Way), an organization that supports women through their business journey.
