Charlottesville, VA, September 30, 2026: The UVA Community Credit Union Foundation has awarded $52,000 in grants to 16 nonprofit organizations throughout Central Virginia through its 2026 Spring Grant Program, supporting initiatives that address children's health, food stability, and affordable housing. The recipients were selected from a competitive pool of 52 applications submitted by organizations serving communities across the region.

The Foundation's Spring Grant Program invests in organizations working to strengthen local communities and improve quality of life for individuals and families. This year's grants support a wide range of programs including children's health and wellness services, hunger relief efforts, housing stability initiatives, and community-based support programs.

"Our nonprofit partners are addressing some of the most pressing needs facing our communities," said Janine Williams, Vice President of Credit Union Affairs at UVA Community Credit Union. "We are honored to support organizations whose work creates lasting impact for children, families, seniors, and individuals throughout the communities we serve."
